Update

The blog has been falling into disrepair so I'll update it with the going's on since Christmas while my memory is still patchy.

Christmas
Went up to Jen's place for a nice roast dinner and to hang out. It was fun- haven't had roast chicken in ages so that was a treat.

New Years Eve
This was a sweet event. We started at Dan and Dinx's place in Dee Why for pre-pre drinks for a couple of hours.

Next took cars to Ben and Reggie's place in Mosman which has a great overlook of the harbour and the fireworks. There were quite a few people there and we all piled onto the balcony to watch the fireworks at nine o'clock.


They were spectacular- several sites around the city including the opera house and bridge let off synchronised displays.

Then we all piled into cars and headed to a big house party in Manly. This place was going off, with a big sound system and about fifty people all having a great time. At one point some breakers started pulling out moves on the concrete dancefloor and they were awesome. Midnight hit and we all shot party poppers and partied till the sun started coming up. The people that were left at this point decided it'd be a great idea to go down to Manly beach. I was pretty smashed and Dinx managed to convince me to go for a dip with her, even though she just put her ankles in then wussed out. I stripped down to my underwear and went for a proper swim which was just as refreshing as I had imagined.

When everyone ran out of steam, we went back to Dan and Dinx's place and sniffed *something* which kept us up for a couple more hours

before passing out.

I was basically woken by everyone getting up and going across the road to the DY RSL so I tagged along, feeling a bit under the weather. We had drinks and snacks there then went up on the headland at Long Reef and flew radio controlled planes. The guys who owned them really knew what they were doing. I had a couple of goes but divebombed so gave up.

Anyway, that was it. Work the next day was absolutely unbearable.
