Melbourne Trip 1

In June Amanda surprised me with a trip to Melbourne for my birthday. It was great fun, I got to catch up with the Melbourne Massive and she got to meet everyone.

It was a long weekend so we had three days to play with. We spent two of them in and around Melbourne city, going out to Brunswick on the first night. The next days we took James' car (thanks mate!) and headed down to Lorne which is a small seaside town a bit over an hour south of Melbourne.

We stayed in a beautiful apartment room there with a view of the beach. There was a massive spa bath which we made full use of, and a number of little boutique shops littered around the place where we got some local cheese and champagne and had a night in. The next morning we had a casual breakfast at a funky little cafe/antiques shop at the north end of town then headed back off to Melbourne to rush to the airport and get back to Sydney.

The whole trip was fantastic and the best birthday present I've ever had.
